Well, your friends and relatives may not agree with this but if you are really serious, you can indeed potty train kids in just a day or two.
Before you start the training, you are required to get hold of the below three points.
1. You have to make sure that your child is physically ready for the potty training. However the age doesn't have to do anything with the training course but the American Academy of Pediatrics says it is better to begin the training from anywhere between 18 and 27 months.
This should be a guideline for the toilet training but some experts agree that the age is not only way to find out and they say that the developmental signals are much better signs for initiating toilet training.
2. If you do little bit of research, you will stumble on trustworthy and time-tested accelerated potty training system for your toddler. However there are several different training systems out there that you may find. When you are finished with the research and finally choose to work on it, you have to ensure that the program is supported by pediatricians. Along with that you have to find out that system is approved by child therapists and child-care experts. Some guidelines that you have to read to start effective and easy potty training system are given follows.
The guidelines should
~ Initially provide all the details regarding potty training readiness
~ Able to guide to apply positive behavioral modification technique during different stage of emotional environments.
~ Teach you step by step
~ Give full instruction by a teacher. It is much better if the teacher is a parent because that way he or she can give full attention to the process
~ Instruct with easy to follow steps and never encourage excessive pushing or maybe punishment
~ Provide a detail list that you require.
~ Exclude any type of dolls or other fancy stuffs.
3. After all you are a parent, and you should be very cautious and should devote full time for this training period. You will need to remain consistent and follow the instruction very carefully. A few parents just don't focus and don't have consistency which is not the way the toilet training should be done. If you think you are not ready, you should not start. You have to give full two days if you really want to succeed.
Many children get along with the training even in the first day. During that time you can reinforce the teaching and allow your baby spend more time to sink in. The purpose is most of the children normally do it in the evening and it is your job to reinforce the process first thing in the morning.
In rounding off, you can toilet train your toddler in a day or maybe two. It is just that you need to appreciate the developmental indicator of your toddler. For a successful result, you have to plan, stay focus, maintain consistency and follow the steps very seriously.
